Having the ability to drive is a privilege that many adults value and cherish.  You need a valid driver’s license to drive through the state of Illinois.  Illinois’s approved online adult driver’s education program allows you the ability to complete your driver’s education course.  The course includes watching videos, playing games, and watching safety simulations.  You will be tested on the material you are given throughout the course, which makes you a reliable and dependable driver.

Chicago Online Adult Driver’s Education Program Qualifications:

The approved Chicago adult driver’s education program covers many topics that are relevant to your driving experience.  You will be tested on current driving topics that challenge your ability to make rational decisions while reading signs and monitoring other drivers.  To qualify for this course you have to meet certain requirements that include:

• Between the ages of 18 and 20
• Never had a driver’s license
  • From any other state or
  •  Taken any Illinois classroom education course

If you meet all of these requirements you are allowed to take this approved online Chicago driver’s education class.

Online Chicago Driver’s Education Course Registration:

You can register for this approved online Chicago driving course by verifying your identity.  This occurs by answering 10 personal questions when enrolling for this course.  If you cannot confirm your identity after two times, you will fail this course and be locked out of your account. 

If you successfully confirm your identity you can log into your account you can complete this online course.  The average timeline for completing this approved online course is 30 days from registering.  You must complete this course within 30 days or your account is locked and you fail the course. 

Chicago Online Driver’s Education Course Expectations:

When you are approved to take this online Chicago driver’s education course you are expected to complete certain tasks.  The tasks you have to complete include:

• Reading
• Quizzes
• Final Exam

When taking this approved Chicago online driver’s education course you are required to spend a minimal of 6 hours taking this course.  This hour requirement is put in place to make sure your education fits the required standard of driving education.  Because of this time requirement, every lesson has a minimal amount of time you need to spend. 

Reading Expectations:

When you are reading for this Illinois approved online drivers’ education course you must read 10 drivers’ education-related chapters.  These chapters include individual driving-related topics that are both relevant and crucial to your overall success as a driver.  You must follow along with the chapters and participate with the lesson pages.   Each lesson has a minimal amount of time required for you to complete each lesson. 

Quiz Expectations:

For your approved Chicago online driver’s course, you must complete 10 chapter quizzes.  Each multiple- choice chapter quiz is placed at the end of every chapter.

 You must pass each quiz to advance to the next chapter in the online course.  You are expected to watch animated videos that portray driving simulations.  You must focus and pay close attention to the videos. 

Final Exam Expectations:

The final examination consists of 20 multiple-choice questions.  To successfully pass your final exam you need to receive a 75% or higher.  If you fail after your first attempt you can retake the exam.  If you fail your final exam the second time you are allowed to retake the course.  If you fail your final exam you can re-enroll in the online course and pay again.

If you pass your final exam you receive a completed certificate via email.  When applying for your Illinois driver’s license, show this certificate verifying your completion of the approved Chicago online driver’s education course.
